ARC Advisory Group
General Manager, Southeast Asia

Bob is responsible for managing ARC's operations in Southeast Asia. He joined ARC Advisory Group after a decade-long career in industrial technology media, most recently as Editor-in-Chief at Singapore's Contineo Media, where he had editorial management responsibility for Control Engineering Asia, Asia Food Journal, PharmaAsia, Logistics Insight Asia, and Payload Asia, while also concurrently being Editor of Control Engineering Asia.

Taken together with his earlier experience at Industrial Automation Asia magazine, he spent more than 10 years covering developments in automation technology in Southeast Asia and became widely recognized as the primary editorial voice for this sector in the region.

Bob also conceptualized and launched supply chain management and logistics technology publication Logistics Insight Asia to the regional market in 2007.  Through his connection to this industry, he has been a regular chairperson and moderator at logistics and supply chain industry conferences in Singapore.

As a qualified engineer with 15 years experience in automation, manufacturing, and logistics, his career included stints at companies such as British Aerospace, GEC, and the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech).  At GEC, he was project manager for a factory data collection system at its PCB assembly facility in Birmingham, UK.  The project included the successful use and implementation of the UKs' very first fieldbus network (WorldFIP), in 1993.

In Singapore, he was part of the SIMTech project team that developed the warehouse control system for Singapore Airlines' first fully automated cargo terminal (T6).  The project received the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) Prestigious Engineering Award in 2003.
